Alice Liddell is the 8 year old girl who inspired Lewis Carroll to base his world famous novel, Alice in Wonderland. It's said that Alice stayed in the St Tudno Villa Apartments, now St Tudno Hotel in 1861. Llandudno is also the place where the sequel Through the Looking Glass was written. The story is about a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole and finds herself in a strange world surrounded by peculiar people and creatures.
The Alice in Wonderland Trail is a new 2014 e-digital tour using a downloadable mobile app 'Follow the white rabbit'
The aim of the tour is to learn about Llandudno and it's heritage as you follow the bronze circular disks imbedded into pavements and 19 cast rabbit markers around Llandudno you will come to some unique wooden statues of Alice in Wonderland characters, you will meet Alice, the queen of hearts, the Cheshire cat, the mad hatter and more.
